This brought back memories! I remember using these at school. They were red though. You weren't allowed one until your teacher decided your pencil handwriting was good enough. It was a right of passage.
Hi Stan, I find standard (short) international cartridges fit in mine. Diamine, J.Herbin and Private Reserve all do them if you want good ink, or if you just want to doodle in everyday black or blue they should be available at any stationery retailer. I suspect the barrel may be a bit too short for most converters, though.
I remember seeing these pens in Junior school during the late 1970's. They must have been dip pens or had a aerometric filler as there was always a large can of Lion Ink by the teachers desk. My handwriting was awful (scruffy) and so I never used one.
